University Hosts Regional Program that Inspires Girls and Young Women to become Technology Entrepreneurs

 

Carleton University opened its new Accelerator for student entrepreneurs on Saturday, Jan. 17 as it hosted 45 girls and young women, between the ages of 10 and 18, for App Development Day to kick off the Technovation Challenge.

The next TIM Lecture will be given by Ibrahim Gedeon, CTO, TELUS.

 

The lecture will take place on Jun 19, 2014, at 6-8pm in the River Building, Room RB 2200. Please register below to help us plan the event.

 

The TIM program was the runner up for the ENTREPRENEURIAL EFFECT AWARD organized by Startup Canada. 101 MaRS (Toronto) won the award, the TIM program came second. The award is given to the individual, group, community, network or organization that has developed and produced a program, tool, research project or event that has had the greatest impact in advancing entrepreneurship in Canada.

 

 

 

Please join us for a reception on Dec 12, from 5-6 pm for the announcement of the Carleton Entrepreneurs Accelerator. This reception will take place in Room SP 103, St. Patrick's Building.

 

Immediately after the reception, there will be a TIM Lecture on The Business of Open Source.

 

 

The second TIM lecture this Fall will take place on Thursday, Dec.12, from 6-9pm. It will be given by Michael Weiss from the faculty of the TIM program.

 

The lecture will take place in Room SP 303, St. Patrick’s Building, Carleton University. Please note the new location.
